Indiana goes retro.

We are bringing back the Regional Qualifier. We have a clear picture of where our top finishers from last year’s AAU events are. What about a new team participating in AAU, or our 3rd grade participants who have yet to have the AAU experience? We believe re-instituting the Regional Qualifier is our best shot at properly placing teams in the appropriate competition level, and ensuring the State of Indiana send the very best on to represent our District at the National Level.

The regional event price is 225.00 Participation in this event will seed you into the bracketed State Final event. The price for the final is 150.00. Previous year results will be seeded as follows: Pools with eight teams or more will advance the top four finishers, five-seven teams  advance the top two finishers, and four or less will advance the top finisher directly to the AAU Division 1 State Final for  2017. If those top finisher teams opt to participate in the Regional event, they will play up an age group, and their standing will have no bearing on placement.

You may enter the Division one State final event with out a previous seed, or qualification through the Regional event. You will be placed in the bracket via blind draw. If you do NOT finish with the National qualifiers, you may also participate in the Division 2 State final event.

Registration step 2…. At this time there is no Regional, or State event to opt into from the National web site. Create your team roster, secure your AAU memberships using the tools found on the National web site select “print your team roster”, download, and email it to Darrin.

Regional qualifiers will be seeded into either the D1, D2, and if numbers dictate, a D3 State final.
